Matt Fitzpatrick

Climate scientist

Dr. Matt Fitzpatrick is a Professor and Associate Director for Research at the Appalachian Laboratory in Frostburg, Maryland. A former aerospace engineer, Dr. Fitzpatrick’s research focuses on the application of spatial modeling approaches for assessing climate change threats to biodiversity. Dr. Fitzpatrick holds a Ph.D. from the University of Tennessee and was a Distinguished Visiting Researcher at CSIRO in Canberra, Australia. Before moving to his current position, he was a postdoctoral fellow at Harvard University.
